Hi!

I look for an H2H fr-opponent....
I'm an average player and look for 4-5 turns/week.

Rules: Everything on except C&C and fast artillery
Large map
60 Turns

*Optional* rules:
max. 10% points for artillery (Artillery=indirect firing guns/mortars/rockets/OB Artillery. AA/AT guns are not considered for the 10% limit. Ammo transports, forward observers and vehicles for transporting the artillery also don't count)

Limitations for infiltrators (none or max. number of infiltrating units) negotiable.

No limits in use of units, e.g. try to go after artillery by firing at smoke, create smoke to simulate an artillery target for the opponent, use AA guns against ground targets e.t.c. are OK.

I suggest one of the following games:
German assault vs. USSR defense, July 1941, 10 000 vs 6 000 points
Germany vs. USSR, December 42, meeting engagement, 10 000 vs. 10 000 points
USSR assault vs. German defense, June 44, 15 000 vs. 10 000 points
US (and UK) assault vs. German defense, April 45, 15 000 vs. 10 000 points
German assault vs. US defense, December 44, 15 000 vs. 10 000 points
USMC (and USArmy, UK) assault vs. Japanese defense, March 1946, 15 000 vs. 10 000 points.
I'm also open for other suggestions.

I would play any side in the battles mentioned above.
I would welcome a novice opponent (more likely for me to win ) as well as another average player (interesting play ) or an expert (at least my defeat will be glorious :rolleyes: ).

Anyone interested please post a reply to this thread (because I look for only *one* opponent) and send me an email (roland.rahn@cityweb.de) with the information which of the battles you want to play, which side and if you want any further limitations on artillery and infiltrators.

I'd be interested in playing either side in the SO/GE meeting engagement or GE in the US/UK assault you've mentioned.

60 turns is a seriously long game but if you're up for it, that's OK. I'm an "average" player, relatively new to PBEM (about 3-4 months now).

Only thing I'd like to change in the pre-conditions is Rarity "OFF"/True Troop "ON". I tend to buy, then erase, then re-buy when creating a force. The Rarity option will not reset IIRC if you delete, at least I think that's the case. I'd also agree with it off to buying a "more historically accurate" force (not 100 MC squads for example). If you're dead set on having it on, that's fine too.

Infiltrators, limit 6 squads in an assault or no limit in a meeting engagement.

If you're interested just let me know which and when.

Great, agreed. I will set up the US/UK assault and put rarity to 'off'.

Sorry, I have been looking for only one opponent because I don't have that much time. I have now two PBEM-battles (both of them April 45, US/UK vs. Germany) runing, and only few time.
