I have a dumb question about SP 7.1 I have a newer 'puter and when I played older versions of SP did not have this problem. The sensitivity of the scroll function is much too touchy and I can't move my mouse fast enough to keep thre screen from scrolling all over Hell's half acre. Can this be controlled or do I need to hire a teenager with super reflexes to scroll my screen?

my newphew has a newer 2.0+ Ghz computer ( I still have a 950mhz that I run most of my games on) and he had the same problem.

He found this and seems happy with it (the free version).

ps...you will have to buy a registered version after 50 uses...or just reload. ..but you didn't hear that from meImage Image Image

There is another one that I found called gear speed as well:

Perhaps someone else on the forums know of a freeware version?

Just a suggestion for XP users...

After SP is running, Alt-Tab out, open "Processes" and lower the pirority on it. I use 98SE, so I've not tried this, but it just might work.

Go to preferences screen. And change scroll delay. Biger number - slower scrolling. I have Athlon1700+ and it worked for me.

That will slow down the scrolling on the main screen, but not on the arty targeting screen.
