Info on v7.1 Preferences

Can any one tell me what all the preference do in v7.1. All the info I've got relate to v5.0, I would have thought the info would be in a readme somewhere but it isn't.

Try the SPWAW Manual that accompanies it. IIRC, all the information about the preferences screen is in there. It's a PDF file, again, if I'm remembering things correctly. If you don't have it, I can upload it if you can't find it for download on the site here.

The 'preferences' screen is described in detail starting on page 21 of the game manual.

The manual version may still say 5.0 or so, but the information describing the prefs is correct.

All the preferances are stored in the "steel.prf" file found in the "Email" sub-folder. Anytime the game starts acting "weird" on you this file should be deleted (it's prone to corruption and will be recreated if not found when the game is run) as the first step in getting the game running again.
