Here's my first titan release: The Klaxon

I designed this light titan around my cannon/cc jock...I couldn't decide weather to go with two vibra claws (as it is now) to maximize my critical chance, or to go for raw damage in the form of two cainsaws at the expense of crtical chance and some electronics.

This is one of my first desgins, (though I've done this in Mechwarrior for years) so suggestions are appreciated.

A more offensive version of the Wolverine. The Klaxon has the better range, but the Wolverine has the edge in systems - better heat dissipation, better armor, dcs.

Yep.. similiar to the Wolverine, but with a better long range punch. Haven't played it yet, looks solid. Heat looks like it may be a tad bit warm. One suggestion. move the LS to the head and out of the RT. Good to keep it away from ammo and locations that tend to get hit a lot. A damaged or destroyed LS is a nightmare.

I played this design a few times before I posted and did very well (lots of criticals), but since I've played it somemore and have been getting creamed. I think that by going with all 'critical chance' type weapons I may have left it too reliant on good luck to do any real damage...
At this point I'm thinking I should have went with chain saws instead of the vibra claws.

Moving the LS is, of course, a valid suggestion..although it seems like I put it there for a reason which I cannot remember anymore...

How about swapping a Vibra for a Chainsaw and a HMG for an AC7. Will give you more punch + smoke. I love the Chainsaw/Vibra combo.

If you can free up 3 tons And if there are free slots. Haven't built it, can't tell.
The flares being in the head or the RT is the same thing in terms of functionality, so they can trade places with the LS (they only have restrictions in the CT or CBT).

OK, I tried some of the above suggestions, and I especially like Larkin's...It gives it a good mix of punch and 'chance' weapons.
Unfortunately to cram the AC7 and Chainsaw in I had to lose some armor, remove the flares, and downgrade the BC.

I played three duels with it and won all of them w/o too much damage... so I like this version.
It does run a bit hot after a long battle, but so far not enough to become too much of a concern.
