I thought I saw this in a previous post but couldn't find it and the manual is less than clear.

are panzer/tank Div's/mech corps the only units which have a stack of 3? motorized and cavalry, inc. SS, stack at 1, right? and AA/arty/AT have a 0 stack?

And all non inf korps (tank/Pz/shock/SS/mobile tank army) have 10 stack points each, right?

F_L, 3 Red tank and 1 Red Cavalry division will fill out your Tank Armies. Throw in some large Arty units, and large independent tank battalions, and you'll have some very heavy and hard to break units. He can do the same with his PzKorps...and his will be tougher until 44.

You can do the same with your Shock armies...or you can fill them with many infantry and or tank units as long as they don't add up to more than 10 points.

A regular Russian corps can take one tank, and two infatnry divisions, or up to 5 infantry divisions.

One thing you must avoid is having tank or infantry divisions in your frontline HQ's. Your Generals will throw them in as reinforcements, causing your units in that corps to suffer readiness loss.

I think FM has the slakkboy game on his mind!

Ok, let me simplify the question:

cavalry -1 stack?
motorized - 1 stack?
ss motorized - 1 stack?
arty/AA/AT - 0 stack?

THANKS!!!

until now i though all the above had 3 stack (well, except AA, etc), so my Pz Korps were much smaller then they ever could have been!

Yes I noticed from your screenshots that you have lots of (presumably smaller) Pz Korps'.
You can have 3 Pz Div plus a Motor Div in a Pz Korps. But if you do that, you won't have that many Pz Korps around. I never use all my available Pz Korps since theres not enough Pz Divs to put in them.
I usually have just 2 Pz Divs and 2 Motor Divs in a Pz Korps. But you can stack one for max penetration possibility if needed.

It is worth to note that in Possum 6 you get some extra Motor Korps which can be used for exploitation.
1 Rumanian, 1 hungarian, 1 Italian and 1 Finnish Motor Korps. Don't forget to use them.

in '41 you don't really need big Pz Korps so having lots of smaller ones works pretty well.

i played with possum6 a bit but i don't consider it as historically accurite equipment-wise so i'm not really interested in it. the only thing i sorta like about it is the rail line connecting sevastopol to the caucasus - as it stands now there's no reason to attck/defend the crimean when it was in fact highly contested. also i don't mind the extra rail line in karelia up north since that splits up the finnish forces and might possibly eliminate the 'can't attack leningrad' house rule.
i wouldn't mind attempting my own version to see if i can add some punch to assist the ai's side and make it a little 'harder', but i wouldn't know the first thing about how to go about it, and i don't think it's possible to to really make the ai harder when it's that stupid and predictable! plus who wants to play the ai anyways!
