OT: How about a "Car Wars" type game?

I think the TOS engine would be absolutely perfect for a remake of a car wars type game. The "running clock" or whatever you call it makes perfect sense for this type of game. run and walk would be replaced with accelerate and decelerate. You could mount turrets for "Torso twists". The weapons would (could?) be roughly the same. I'd be in heaven (was an AutoDuel / Car Wars freak when I was a kid). It seems like almost everything is already there, just have to do some adjustments to the engine.

Is the TOS engine going to be used for any other games? Or is there a TOS II on the way?

I know that this message is 3 months old, and all, but I'm new here, so I'm going to reply anyway. I really have to say that this is a capital idea. Car Wars was a big part of my early days, and I spent alot of time playing it with my friends. I would love to see a PC version of this table top classic. And the TOS system seems like it just might fit the bill.

I agree to. I loved to play Car Wars and Sunday Drivers back in the early/mid eighties.

Great games, loads of fun and a version using this engine would be somethingelse and will attract more buyers into the game.
