Questions about tanks and planes

Hi there,

Tanks:
The PzKw IIIjs have an attack value of 11 and defense of 7;
The T-34 M40s have an attack value of 10 and defense of 10.

Does this mean that PzKw IIIjs can pierce the T-34s armor? or
Is this attack value only contributes to the overal Combat Value?
The same goes with antitank guns.

Planes:
The Fw 190As have a bombload of 20. What does it mean? This is a fighter and never seen it dropping bombs.[&:]
What does durability means? If there is a plane with 30, for example, what does that mean?

Thanks.

I believe the tank values to go into the overall combat value. The programm takes the average of all tank and anti-tank guns and calculates the anti-tank fire out of it. Two Panzer IIIh should do the same damage one Tiger does. Losses are another story...

When attacking, the fighter bombload is added to the bombload of the bombers.

The higher the durability, the higher the chance the plane will be damaged instead of destroyed.

That are only my impressions, so I'm not sure.

You are right. The tank values go into the overall values. This is what I found:

Given a German and a Soviet unit, both, with the exact strength, readiness and experience. The Soviet unit equipped with T-34M40s.

If the German unit is equipped with PzKw IIIHs and attacks, it will take about 6 German tanks for one Soviet. It takes 2 to one on the defense.

Regards.
