where's load campaign?

I must be missing something here, page 17 of the manual says in solitary mode I can choose load campaign. I cant find any such option in the menu under solitary mode.

Choose Battle
>Solitary
>start new game
>pick the squad you want
> Accept
> Select Map
>you should now have a load campaign choice>far right on the menu

You have to follow the sequence given in pages 16-17, as Eric described above. The squad must be a custom one, and not special.

thanks, figured I missed something. I like jumping straight into the campaign as a newby, best way to learn. Then start over.
