Fuzzy Text.

Hi, just bought the game.
I'm running it under Win 98 on a Pentium MMX 300Mhz with 256 MB of ram.
I'm using a S3 Trio3D videocard updated with the latest driver I've found on the net.
I'm using the DirectX 8.1 that comes with the game.
The installation went smooth, the intro movie as well.
But then in the menu the text is unreadable, kinda fuzzy and blurry.
Also I have no music, I do have sound effects.
I haven't applied any patches yet, none whatsoever.
Any ideas?

Uninstalled, downloaded DirectX 9.0b, still no patches, the problem isn't solved.
I took a DirectX Test and could email that to someone here who knows more about it.

I am unable to see the text on my game. The dark background text displays but the light colored text does not. I emailed support several days ago but have not received a response yet. I have downloaded and installed the patches. Has anyone else experienced this problem and what was your fix? I can't play the game without any text and my generals are starting to get very itchy trigger fingers.

Could you generate a dxdiag file (as per the sticky at the top of this forum, and add it to an email sent to me at the above address.

Just to report - KenJust's problem has been fixed by updating his video drivers.
If the other guys posting on this thread email me a DXDiag file, I would be able to give some help as to how to overcome the problem.
