ive installed it.

but wen i press - *play uncommon valor* i hear the torpedo sound, but nothing happens

wat do i do to make it work?

are you trying to load from the disk, or from the shortcut on screen. Also have you patched the game up to version 2.3? You need to load patch 2 first then 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3 in order.

If this doesnt work ,then delete the shortcut and send the uncommonValour.exe file located in the game folder to the destop and try this

im trying to get the updates now

make sure to load the updates in order, first 2.0, then 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3. If you load them out of order, God knows what will happen.

how can u tell if u have version 1.0 or 2.0 ?

i just bought mine and it was sealed so do i have v 2.0 ?

only when you are ingame can you tell. I have just sent you a PM with the order to do things

what steps have you taken so far?

The steps that should be taken are,

install UV from disk
Patch version 2.0
Patch version 2.1
Patch Version 2.2
Patch version 2.3

Each patch will crate there own UncommonValour.exe file (used to start the game), so just to make sure, delete the shortcut on the destop, and go into the UV folder, find the UncommonValour.exe file, and right click and send to desktop. This should work fine. If you havent patched the items in order this could be your problem, so I would suggest uninstalling and trying again

now that you have installed it, try to run it, and find out what version you have. Also you will need adobe for the manual, and as for direct x, find out what version you already have, and if the direct x is older than on the disk use the direct x from the disk

i tried to run it, i pressed the play button but it would run

i dont have the rest of the patches on yet tho

i go into the start menu and click on - game menu

a menu pops up with an option to play, so i press it, but nothing happens [:(]

I mentioned this in the other thread. How many CD players you got? I'm suspecting a CD ROM and a CD Burner, right? One may be D drive and one E drive. Make sure your CD is in your master drive as Frank Cooke reminded me that it won't run from your slave drive. Hit PLAY and it should start "Loading Files, Sir" as opposed to remaining on the main menu page.

If that does not work, I'm out of ideas.

my computer geek brother in law even took a crack at it, and after 2 HOURS, he STILL couldnt get the damn thing to work [:'(]

he said it might b the computer or the game, but since im getting a new computer within 2 weeks ill soon find out which it is
