How will naval units be handled?

One of the things I didn't like about Strategic Command was the hex-based naval units. It seemed kind of odd maneuvering your naval units this way. To tell you the truth, I really liked the way Clash of Steel did it's naval system, with sea zones and possibilities of interception (like World in Flames). My guess is that the system will work more like Axis & Allies, just based on the map.

Really looking forward to this game!

More like A&A although transports don't move with their cargo, they set up chains that units move over.

Ah, sort of the Totaler Krieg method of transports.

What about the warships? How detailed are they going to be, one unit is one capitol ship (maybe with escort destroyers a'la World in Flames), or entire task forces?

Each Heavy fleet unit represents about 2BB and CLs and destroyers and each light fleet 2 CA and CLs and destroyers. We also have carrier fleets, sub units and transports.

Aw! [:(] I like detailed ships.

[:D]
Guess I'll have to play UV for that then!

It is understandarble at this level however, so I guess I cannot complain.

Thanks for the info!
