I want to chat with people

Just making it public here.

I am openly inviting persons into the chat room, for what would be to me, Sunday evenings (thats Sunday evening to a Canadian living in Ontario at 2300 [thats 11 PM for you civilians] my time onward).

What will be chatting about? Well I am here originally because I love Steel Panthers. But I am definitely a wargaming grognard in an allround manner.

I am interested in expanding my experiences to accomodate CL or Combat Leader. So discussing this game would be fun.

I am a devoted player of Advanced Squad Leader (wouldnt give a damn about Steel Panthers if it didnt seem like I was playing ASL on the computer I guess).
I play wargames more on the computer these days, but I do it reluctantly. Nothing beats a real live wargame played against a real live face to face opponent. You name it odds are I have seen it if we are talking about table top based wargames.

I wont know a lot of games played on the computer. And certainly not the Command and Conquer/Warcraft or first person shooter stuff.
I have carried a rifle professionally, it was more interesting than the games.
Not really into Real Time games, but I wont say I wont discuss them.

I dont mind discussing politics, but I only do that in real time.

I am hoping that this goes somewhere.
I have no official connection to Matrix.
I am just someone with the time and interest to chat, and I think a broad body of knowledge to offer in conversation.
Odds are I will be in chat for only so long before I leave. I am talking maybe 30-60 minutes waiting before accepting the night didnt happen on any given sunday.

Would reeeeeeally appreciate it, if any posters replying to this thread, indicate their main topic area of choice (if they have one, doesnt have to be Steel Panthers).

Hope to see "someone", there tonight.

I can't promise anything, since I have to be at work in the morning, but I'll try to check in. Lately I've been playing SPWaW exclusively, but I like military history in general. The current war situation is interesting, however we all know that the reports are spotty and not very reliable, IMO.

One thing I want to remind everyone is, leave no spaces in your chatroom login name. Mine is KGErwin, of course. If you make it two words and hit enter you'll get an "invalid user name" popup.

To further this notion of getting us chatting
can people quote there preferred times actually.
Incluse day of the week and time it would be there for you and exactly where in the world you would be sitting while chatting.

I am not saying it has to be Sunday (just first day I was able to think of that might be equally useful to others).
Heck in my case it could likely be any day and any particular time of the day.

We missed you Les! It was a blast.

Sunday night works well for me. 6-7 pm PST. I will be sitting exactly on my butt in my computer chair in my home office in Oxnard, California! <img src="biggrin.gif" border="0">

Will be formatting my system today (I hope).

Or rather my computer friend that maintains my computer will be doing it.

Hopefully I will be here online again by this weekend.

Which will allow me to actually be around sunday to perhaps chat in the chat room (what good is it for me to come up with a bright idea eh, if I dont participate hehe).

Well it looks like I survived.
Also appears my computer survived.
I now have my XP loaded correctly (never formatted the drive, to much data couldnt be removed at the time).

Dont mind saying a fresh new plug for XP (hey if I like it, it has to be good, I never say anything nice about Windows normally).

Hoping to actually be on here in chat tonight. Wont be able to make it till 1030 ish tonight though (and thats Ontario time guys).

Now that I have my computer cleaned up, a lot of things should run smoother. I guess I will be spending a bit o time reloading a lot of stuff too.

Missed the sunday again.

Damn health problem in my case.

And I have incurred the annoyance of my local mob for not be reliable at the evening rolegames lately as well.

Hopefully I will get this matter resolved. Ideally I want to get to use the chat here a lot more. Right now I am hoping to make it a more than Sunday thing.
