Start small and work your way up. Dutch Delay at Deest, PIR on the Poppenburg, Molenhoek Counterattack, Devils Hill, Air Landing Assault, Drive on Loenen.

I would say go striaght into the arnham historical campeign as Germans and try to stop the allies. U start with few units but u soon get reinforcements. You can always restart the scenario whenever u want. You will learn alot IMO. When you know how to defend and block, go for the allies.

Start with Joe's Bridge then work you way up into multiple day scenarios. Take note of what side scenarios are best played as.
Once you feel comfortable, dig into some of the 2 day versions (a lot more units, burning suppy up becomes an issue, etc).
Once you can play Terror of the Tyne Tees and win at either side against the AI, you are in great shape for campaign games and online play.

Be advised that with some of the very shortest scenarios playing with max order delays will make timing very tight. In short, your initial orders will greatly determine your success or failure and you have not time to be tardy on issue follow on orders (which means that must forsee the momentum of your forces and issue follow on orders in anticipation of what things will be anywhere from 3-6 hours in the future).
Also, keep in mind that with the shortest scenarios:
(1) You can generally afford to set ROF to MAX.
(2) You can generally afford to set AGGRO and LOSSES to MAX. You are not going to have time for protracted ebb and flow. You must hit and hit hard.
(3) You can generally drive your troops harder in terms of movement rate and lack of rest. The outcome will be decided before they drop in their tracks from exhaustion.
With all that said, I say work from short and simple (less units) to longer complex scenarios. If the scope is too large you will get overwhelmed and also it will be harder review the battle to cull out your successes and mistakes so that you can refine your play.

I jumped in on 3day scenarion "bases of Arnhem" or something like that.
Playing Axis, alot of fun. Very many units to keep track of...
I ordered a full regiment to attack, getting them to plan their own attack as a experiment, well i wont do that again [:D] they just massed up, moved straight up and it was getting kind of bloody...
I have played half the scenario and Axis and Allies are kind of "even steven" fighting over a hill in the middle of the map, chaotic non-stop fighting.
Like the game more and more.

Nice!
About the regimental attack, just check the commander & force statics, that's essential. As well as their fatigue. The worse the formation is (and germans have a lot of crappy units), the worse the attack will be.
The larger/longer the scenarios the most you will have to use regimental/brigade units and less micromanagement, so get used to them.

Yes, but i have still problems with how they formed the regiment the attack, with the higehr quality units behind the lower quality.
And Mortars and AT canons constanstly moving instead of being placed on a spot and give fire support.
Then that my regiment attacked an armour and mech colon was hardly their fault but i was to eager....
Now they attacking and retreating back and forth not gaining any ground. I separated mortars and AT and placed them separateley.
Problem with arty, if they are attached to a regiment i cant order them to bombard, only to fire.
Yes i noticed that the Germans forces wherent so good , but this regiment had everythinga alittle more than half so i thought it would be ok and that they just would run the allies over...guess not [:D]
