Extended Campaign

I'm a bit unclear on what this button is supposed to do.
The Manual says, "Select this option to play the entire 1805 Campaign."
Selecting just this button Provides a scenario that goes from Oct 2 to Oct 24.
Selecting this button along with the 1805 Ulm and the Danube Campaign again gives a scenario that goes from Oct 2 to Oct 24, with an identical situation report.
Selecting just the 1805 Ulm and the Danube Campaign gives the same results.
Does anyone know what this button really does?

I haven't had a chance to play the game yet; but it was my understanding that the Extended Campaign button made whatever campaign you are playing go beyond the listed end time.

That's correct although documentation isn't that clear. To play both campaigns straight through, pick an early scenario AND the extended campaign.

Apparently you didn't read what I wrote above:
Choosing an earlier campaign and the extended campaign button does not change the length of the scenario. Test it yourself and see.

Malagant, have you played an extended campaign completely and hit a wall at the early stop date or are you just going by reading the extended campaign end date in the sitrep and seeing that the date doesn't change to a later date?

I've played two (1805 and 1809) and they both stop at the regular dates.

OK. has anybody played a full 1805 or 1809 campaign yet? If not, I promise to do one over the weekend.
