I have just found out about Starshatter, and it seems like my sort of game.

However, all the screen shots appear to be third-person, and I don't currently have the time or the bandwidth to download and play the demo, so can anyone answer this question:

To what degree does the action in the game take place from a first-person point of view?

As much as you want.

The screenshots are from third-person/orbit because it shows the action better, but you are free to choose from first-persin, third person, orbit, and target views.
