Will this be available in a downloadable version or only in a boxed cd version?

Sheesh! Calm down! Retail version of Starshatter is going to be 4.0. But 3.9 is already completed game with these exceptions:
* only one dynamic campaign which is limited for 5 days of game time
* less ships
* mods can't be used for multiplayer
On the other words: we already have completed game engine and limited support for mods (no MP). You can mod weapons, starships, starfighters, starbases, space stations, missions, star systems and even dynamic campaign (no instructions). Tool to make planetary surface is still under work, after that, you can create whole universe. Actually DamoclesX has already done it and few others are at the work.
