I don't think that was supposed to happen.

There seems to be a sequencing error. Playing SE, I am slogging through the snow with the 502nd Parachute Reg. in “Shaking the Trees”. It had been a tough fight, but I come way with a moderate victory. I click continue and go to Carentan with the 327 Glider Reg. for a nice summer romp in the French countryside with “Under Their Noses. It's like deja vu all over again! Is there a quickie patch for this sort of thing?

Same problem plloyd. Because (and other bugs) of that I stopped playing MCSE, waiting for a patch.

I've played through all four threads and never encountered this problem. Do you remember which scenario it was in the 502nd? It has a code number on the map at the bottom right or left...something like S (number) - N (number).

That would help me locate the battle quickly and see if the scenario is misdirected. I will take a look at the MC-SE in the editor in the meantime and see if I find anything.

Anyone watching Band of Brothers on History Channel? It adds a lot of flavor for those playing MC-SE.

My apologies to Lloyd and Lexxan. You are right. Its rather difficult to explain. You both must have gotten minor victories. That was the slot that was erroneously coded. Any other result and you would not have been misdirected.

You should have been sent to Hetzwiller, Germany for a foray into enemy territory.

I had two versions of MC-SE on my computer. Toward the end I was playing a shortened version to work my way through quickly. Lamentably, there was this one directive code in the longer version that we apparently all missed.

I'm so sorry. I can't attach a zip file anymore. It would be so much easier if I could. What I am going to do is to upload the patch to the SPWAW Depot. I'll be right back with a link to that upload for you. Sorry this happened. I think this is the only one.

Be back in a minute.

Here is where you can find the patch gentlemen. Again, my apologies. I hate it when I miss something! [:-]

Many thanks W. Bill. I'll have it in today. I presume I need to play that scenario again, right?

Sadly, yes you will, my friend. At least this time a moderate victory will take you to the right place. Of course, you might get a good decisive this time!

You deserve it. Thanks for catching this error and letting me know...WB

Many thanks again Bill. I will start MCSE again from the beginning (after I will have enjoyed a nice week on the red sea) and I will send you my impressions afterwards.

Is this issue going to be addressed in the 8.2 patch??

Probably not, since the megacampaign software is separate from the base game, as far as where the branches go.
