Can you cross rivers at ferry points?

I have tried, but my guys just sit there. If they can cross, can tanks and other vehicles also cross or just troops.

Crossing over a ferry with a nearby enemy unit is a death sentence for the unit that is crossing especially if your enemy have another unit that can shoot at your flank or rear.

Yes you can, i foolishly tried to salvage a badly planned attack by sneaking some tanks around the right flank for a shot in thier rear flank, didn't pay attention to the crossing i specified and 16 hours later half of the tank force had made it across, then the other half got jumped by rampaging panzer recon units and that was that [:o]
