Hey this game is great! I’ve abandoned playing UC ever since I stumbled across the demo to SS. I was wondering if you had considered adding any different types of “space environments” to the game? I remember years ago playing Klingon Academy which was a rather cheesy game but did employ a rather unique feature in terms of using space environments for tactical advantage. For example, you could descend into a debris ring around a planet which would disrupt sensors (both yours and your opponents). Also you could try and scrape a baddie off on a rock in the debris fields or fly into nebula and hid. You could also fly into the outer atmosphere of a gas giant if you were a large ship. Although you’d sustain damage (which was a function of depth and velocity) the hope was that the guy following you in would chicken out first and abort his pursuit or die trying. Anyway, it would really add to game like this where although you may only have a dozen or so types of missions, executing them in different environments would really spice it up. Just a suggestion which may very well be undoable at this point but I’d thought I throw it out there. [;)]Cheers and keep up the good work!

A bit OT, but I've wanted to ask someone this: is the gameplay all screwed up like in the multiplayer demo of Klingon Academy (IE: shields go down in only a few shots, weapons have a slow ROF, CPU ships can make whatever manuevers they want to) or did you only play the singleplayer demo? (in which the game is actually FUN)

If you make a simple mission for example with a Destroyer vs Orion Carier, you can practice what happens if you target the separate components, "shields, drive, fusion" etc.
(Drive does get damage as are the PDB's even though they keep on shooting anyway, though shields will
never get down, even if it's one big burning heap. except if you are flying the thing.)
Also fun is flying your Destroyer at an angle and take note of the drag space seems to place on the destroyer. (Angle of heading unequal velocity vector in autoflightsystem)
There is also the issue about the maximum angle. 80degrees up or down, so don't try to take on your target from above or below.
There are still a few other bugs, though I couldn't find an item list with known and corrected bugs for version 3.9.0
This means that any of the above might have been fixed.
