any chance of Matrix reworking SP3 online 1.0?

Since Matrix is able to do whatever they like with the steel panthers 3 code,would it be possible to create a patch for the steel panthers 3 online 1.0 game.
At least we would be able to play modern battles online.
I understand you dont have the time or patience to make Steel Panthers :modern warfare but maybe an add-on patch for the online program would be doable?
