I think the point is that Matrix is shown a committment to publishing quality games for a small Grognard market, and they do not let themselves get pressured to release a "coaster" too early due to commercial concerns or excessive whining from potential patrons (like you, for example).

I have no doubt that the game will be much better if the time is taken to do it right in the intial programming and testing, than wandering through a series of umpteen thousand patches (see Paragon games).

I have nothing other than admiration for the Matrix mantra that the game will be released when it is finished and not before then.

I respect that and, in fact, find it refreshing from the common practices in the computer gaming community of releasing buggy, unfinished products.

Don't let us slow your exit. Your impatience does nothing to ensure a quality product is delivered. There are many people who have contributed from this forum at the request of Marshall and programming crew, in an attemtpt to make it better. That is called productive dialogue.

Sniveling that "it is not out yet, waaaaaaaaaaaa" is not.

The longer the time spent developing the game, the better IMO.

I can understand the sense of frustation many feel here. I too, feel it. But Matrix are caught between a rock and hard place here.

1) They release the game too soon full of bugs and it is slaughtered by the small base of likely customers and their hard work is a waste.

2) OR They keep working on it to get it right, but take ages to do it and bore people with the wait.

I think it is clear 2) is still the best option, as if the game is good, people who got fed up waiting are still very likely to end up buying it anyway.

I, for one still will buy this game, even if it does not arrive to next year.

But, like everyone else...........I really wan't it now!!

This is the professionalism I have to come to enjoy from Matrix in regards to this forum. [8|][8|]

I applaud the fact that Matrix is taking its time to build a superior game. It adds a lot of confidence that they will only release the game when they think it is fit to be released.

There are so many games and other things that can be enjoyed while players are waiting for this game to be released. :D

The game will be published when it is published

Careful, that is sounding a lot like "It will be done when it is done"... Flashbacks here of the Nuke Nukem Forever scam....
