Is the site gone or just down? When I try http://www.adanaccommandstudies.com it comes up as page not found. Thanks.

Yeah, I tried awhile ago without any luck...I think there have been some changes in the game though so it would be obsolete...we just have to wait for Matrix to put up their own web site for this game...hopefully soon..........

Well I was actually interested in info on Frank's old ACW game. Hence the "OT" in the thread title.

The old ACW game is freely downloadable from the Adanac Web site -- but first you have to wait for the site to come back up. Be aware that, although Frank has fixed numerous bugs in the past, there are still some annoying bugs remaining in the game.

For more information, see also my own site: http://www.thurb.com/games/acw/intro.him.

Thanks for the link Jonathan. Frank says his site should be back up in about a week.

Edit - Looks like a ton of useful info there. Thanks!

I know this is off-topic but I'm desperate. I had to reformat my hard drive and lost my version of ACW. Frank, if you're out there, can we expect to see the Adanac site back up soon? I need ACW bad, man!

My website was erased. The payments were drawn automatically from my PayPal account. Turns out it had fallen to zero. Anyway, I had assumed I would just pay it and it would be back up as it had been, that's what had occurred before when this happened. Turns out this time it was erased. So I will find a new provider, I still have the domain name registered. Everything will be back up except the message board which I feel terrible about.

Frank, will Matrix have a web page devoted to your game?

From Marc on 5/11/04:
ORIGINAL: Marc Schwanebeck

The website is currently in the works, I expect to have it ready next week.

Wow, I hope so. I am a fanatic about Frank's ACW game. I was considering putting up a webpage to generate a list of email players. Anyone interested?

I bought the CD game but also have the v3 upgrade for it. Anyone need the free game? I can send a zip if you want.

OK, I've upgraded to v2.66 (AFAIK, the most recent addition but I could be wrong). Unfortunately, the cool battle sounds are now gone whereas in v2.63 they were still active. What gives?

I don't - no have ever had - the ability to turn sound off/on like the PDF file states. Even on my early CD copy (I think). Frank?

Hi guys!

Latest version is 2.8. PM me and I will be happy to send you the zip and a set of new counters (which I redid for Frank). I also have the emails of a number of active players who I can send your address to if you are looking for opponents. Be warned.. these guys are really good.

Hello Ray -- as far as I know, the latest version of ACW is 2.66, and I was taking an interest in the Adanac Web site until it went down. If you have a version 2.8, how did you get it? And what's the difference from 2.66?
