eureka!

Post by wodin »

Ive just had my Eureka moment too.

Ive got the hang of the game mechanics on the second go of playing. I found plying a real battle rather than the tutorial easier. Though reading here helps. The simultianous action is the bit to get.

I didnt play all the first game due to time and Scotty got blown to smitherines.

Can someone suggest a good first battle.

Download Rosary's "Ultimate Deep Core - Final version" from the URL in the thread in the map page. Unzip it into your maps/campaigns folder. Then, with a real team (that is, not one generated randomly by the AI) as the A team, start a solo game, select the team, open the Maps, select Campaign at the bottom of the screen, and choose Deep Core.

Deep Core is an excellent campaign for learning the game and for getting the feel how different equipment effects various effects as it gives the player some 'breathing room' for some mistakes while climbing the learning curve. Once you feel that you have a good grasp of the mechaics it's time for the Savannah campaign.
Power does not corrupt; It merely attracts the corruptable.

:D I've only lately been putting much effort into the campaign myself - just got my team to all green rank. Mebbe I'll try making a mission one of these days too.
