Good scenarios for newbies

I read the manual, played and won the tutorial, and had fun doing so. I'm looking for good scenarios to play after this. I've had a look at the list and there are some pretty massive ones. I'm thinking of is something small and easy with not too many types of weaponry to use at the same time.

Hi Teemu and welcome here!
I’d suggest you to try the “Flesh and Steel” campaign, by Bill Wilder.
It’s a campaign, small both in # of scenarios and units involved, but with a high value when regarding the how and when of use of combined arms.
You can find it in the campaign list coming with the game.
Regards.

Hi and welcome!
If you look for an extremely quick introductionary scenario, how about scen #206 'A lonely Tiger' by WBW?
It is without combined arms (no artillery), and you are just commanding 3 units, but it's a lot of fun to play (IMO).

Good scenario to learn how to take out Tigers and other Cats was in v.7 "The tragic stand", a battallion of Shermans against numerous German vehicles. Only in this scenario I realised how good is to have Sherman 105 and Greyhounds when meeting King Tiger.

"A Meeting of Devils"
The Germans and the Brits have a simultaneous airdrop around a vital bridge. Hilarity ensues.
It's small, plays fast and, due to the randomness of airdrops, emminently replayable.
One of my favorites (but no armor. [:(] )

I'm not sure if I have understood your question, but by pressing 'H' you can see your order of battle and by selecting a formation, you should see a list which unit will arrive at what turn at which reinforcement hex (R-Force 1, T5 would mean that it arrives in the 5th turn at reinforcement hex 1).

I had some units in DC3's that never got dropped. Maybe the planes were shot at and had to turn round without dropping. As at the end of the game it said the units were retreating.
As mentioned in my other thread I won a marginal victory.

I highly recommend Heroes of the Motherland for a small and easy campaign. The first battle is quite long but all the other scenarios, about 7 in all, are good size with a few fun ones like the Cossack raid.
