Hello folks,
Have any of you tried Firefight? It's available from the E-store at the Matrix website. Oddly it doesn't have a website. I wonder if it is good.

There used to be a demo. Long gone in the reinstallation of OS's from my HD, alas.

It was good for being a one man creation-like a graphically rougher CC with slightly different interface. The demo, that is (one battle, IIRC), can't say about the full version.

If ya get it, Chelco-give an update. I'd be interested if it could be graphically modded in any way.

You are right, I have been in the designer's webpage and it appears like he was selling the game himself. He then sold the rights to Matrix.
As for buying it, I have multiple reservations. The lack of info from Matrix isn't helping. The game has not even a forum. I don't know...

I too would be interested in any info. on this download. And you're right, it is strange that there's nothing from Matrix about it.

I downloaded the demo and I don't know what to do.
The demo is very similar to Close Combat. The graphics are kinda simplistic, but I am not a kinda guy who judges wargames by how they look. Unless the graphics distract you, like the sheeps who wander accross the battlefield. You can smash them with your tanks, though.
You can give only four orders to your squads/armor: fire, cease fire, move and retreat. Off-map artillery (HE and smoke) are available.
The demo offered me a challenge, but I am not sure if this was due to the fact that I was not familiar with the gameplay.
I wish Matrix would have more info on the full game, which I hope is an upgraded version of the demo I played.

I rather enjoyed it too.
