I've been playing Steel Panthers since the first release of SP1 but recently I've started playing SPWAW PBEM more frequently and I have started looking for good scenarios on the net. I've played CMBO and CMBB for a while on PBEM and the site "The Scenario Depot" (http://www.dragonlair.net/combatmission/index.htm) is just great as many of you probably know. It has thousands of good scenarios and above all it has a LOT of user reviews and most of the scenarios have been graded by players on behalf of for example playablility versus AI or versus human opponents.

The user reviews are really helpful when deciding which scenario to spend a few weeks with on PBEM. It always frustrating to realize after 15 turns that it's vitually impossible for one of the players to win (after a company of Tigers arrive as reinforcements or such ). Some scenarios may be great versus the AI but not so great for PBEM as you all know...

I've been looking around a bit but I haven't found an equally good site for SPWAW scenarios which seems strange to me as the number of players/designers should be greater? It feels like I have missed "THE" SPWAW scenario site?

So - is there a SPWAW site as good as "The Scenario Depot"? If there isn't which is the best site? I'm mainly looking for well balanced PBEM scenarios...

When 8.2 comes out sometime in the next year hopefully it will do two things. It will likely make all scenarios somewhat obsolete. And it will come with about 350 scenarios designed for that version, many of which will be excellent for pbem. Then you'll find the best designers posting their new ones at the spwaw site and that's the place to go.

Why would it make all the scenarios "obselete"?! I believe one of the main reasons for 8.2 is exactly the opposite. Many scenarios are already "obselete" and 8.2 will have them fixed.

I believe he means all non-included (in 8.2) scenarios are not going to function well with 8.2, unless they are reworked.
