Hi, at the DropZone Depot, I saw some scenarios which are obviously for the original AA game.

Apparently, they're not included in HTTR, and when I try to load them either in HTTR or its scenario editor, this results in a immediate CTD.

The question is : is there a way to make these scenarios compatible with HTTR ? TIA.

RDOA scenarios are not compatible with HTTR. However, there is now programmatic check in HTTR. As you said, it just crashes. Also, there are no conversion utilities.

Translation : "we're stuck". Did I get that right ? [:D]

Yep, there is no way to port them over. I recall having played a couple myself.

Also, my favorite quick beta test scenario from RDOA did not survive, Deelen Day 1. It was 12 hours and it was always the first one I played each beta with exactly the same plan. A very good test to see the impact of any tweaks made in the latest build.

Are the file formats available somewhere (I guess the answer to that is no, but I'll ask anyway [;)]).

If yes, and if both formats are not too different, maybe a little conversion tool could be doable ?

Load up both editors and simply duplicate them. You have the map already. The units haven't really changed dramatically. The VP stuff is the same format. Just a time and effort thing.
