Throwing smoke into multiple hexes

Would it be possible to implement this at some time? I would like to see infantry squads which have more than one round of smoke be able to throw them in more than one hex without taking op-fire in return. For instance, if you need to smoke two or three hexes around you to screen from multiple-direction fire shouldn't it be possible? As it is now, you throw one smoke round and that gives the enemy an op-fire. If you survive without too much suppression you may be able to smoke another hex. It doesn't seem right not to be able to smoke several hexes at once. One guy throws a smoke round this way, another guy another way. Why should you have to endure two or more op-fire attacks just to lay a smoke screen around you?

Maybe this is hard-coded? Hope this is possible, but will not hold it against you if it is not possible. Thanks. :)

This is just a guess, but, maybe, it takes the whole squad to smoke the hex effectively? After all, it is a 50 meter hex. I think it would take more than one smoke grenade to effectively smoke that much space.

Thanks, Alex. I thought that perhaps that might be what was happening. Just as "one" shot in game turns actually represents a number of real-life rounds. It's a hairy situation, sticking a squad out and it gets fired on from several directions. Does one fire back or attempt to cover? Aah, the decisions one must make when in command...

P.S. Couldn't help but notice that you're a girl! :) Nice to see you here. I've never before encountered a lady who likes Steel Panthers.

Don't let AmmoSgt hear you say that. She's one great player in the online leagues and might challenge you.
