I like it when the forums shift around...it means a focus on some new things...and so far new things from Matrix have been good things...

i have been buying SSG products forever, all the way back to apple 2 days. i like the look of the new TAO4 also. this product will be on my buy list. the last program was korsun. the war games have been few and far between over the last years. now 3 programs are in my purchase list in the next 3-4 month period.

I've been following the AAR on Run 5. Very informative info and fun to read. I was wondering what kind of computers that they are using? KP runs fine on mine. I'm hoping that the same will be true for BIN.

I can't wait for this game I just love Korsun Pocket. I hope BIN really has a better AI that would be my only minor complaint of Korsun.

Im running a P4 2.4ghtz, but that said, I dont think the specs are much different to those needed for KP.. so if KP runs ok on your machine then BIN will also.. I think the battlesinnormandy.com website has some info about machine specs..

Here you go:

System Requirements:
Windows 98 / Me / 2000 / XP
Pentium II 450 MHz CPU
128 MB RAM
DirectX 8.1
8 MB Video Card 16bit color
Sound Card (DirectX 8 comp.)
8x CD-ROM
500 MB free Hard Disk space

Here's one, why did you choose a 1 turn/day time scale for BiN rather than the 2 turns/day scale used in TAO? What advantages does it offer?

Kent,

If you look at the scale of BiN it makes a lot of sense to have day long turns. This really works well as simulating the ability of one side to react to the other. If you do two turns a day then players (especially the German side) can micromanage the units and send large formations rushing about the battle. At one day per turn you have to anticipate your opponent's moves and keep a reserve (if possible).

Capitaine,

One of the great aspects in BiN is the user friendly editor; it will allow you to create alternate scenarios exactly as you like. If you think 12 hours per turn and twice as many turns is better then you could easily create an alternate campaign scenario to do just that.
