I hope you get a comp working that does it for you...it wouldn't take much, honestly, you could go and buy any old budget pc and it would most likely run...

You'll find and/or build a PC someday that will run all the games you want [8D]

Played through the tutorial slowly a couple of times and studied the keycard. Some brief comments;
· The “Tutorial” = yikes, this is supposed to teach you something? All it really did was show me to go in this order of review, TF, LB Air, Ground units, Bases.
· The icons and hotkeys appear to be well thought out and easy to use. No real issues there.
· I’m printing the manual as we speak so I can get into some serious detail this weekend.

BarkhornXX,welcome to the South Pacific..IMHO you will have a great time..I do not think the game has a steep learning curve at all,but it is so detailed you will continue to find new things about this game a year from now,(like I have)..
Pay attention to the veteran's in here and ask anything.Somebody will get back with you.

Actually I felt ten years younger when I realised that I have played UV a whole night shortly after receiving it, withut realizing it. My boss didn't feel me really active the next day.

Yea hbut will the tuturial be that big over here in the UK with our crappy DVD cases?

That would be nice. Actually, the manual is pretty good - and I'm taking my time going through it - using scenaro #1 as my "test bed". I expect that by the end of this week i will be able to actually play a scenario. The leve of detail is really a wonder to behold.
