Not bad for first try. Actually that looks damn good! I see some weapons under wings, are they missiles? Javelins maybe?

Yeah the texturing is very temporary still... when I had all the objects in Magic I just had to put it together so I put on some temporary textures...

Now I wish Magic could render me the hud icon... because I really cant draw my arse out of a paper bag.. ;)

Well, I like to model. Very nice. Although...did you smooth it or somesuch? It seems kinda rounded, like it were made of clay. That works on some areas of it, but like the tail fin might work better with sharp edges.

I dunno.

The texturing isn't bad for a "base" and could actually serve as final textures if you add some more detail.

And, the weapons seem to small. I'd recommend making them bigger.

But, it is a great model, especially for a first try! Well done!

It can...sorta. If you open up magic and then turn the image in the view window until its oriented however you want the HUD icon to be, press Print screen and then open up photoshop or some other image editing program then paste it in (you took a screen capture) and then you can crop it and save it in whichever format you need for a hud icon (i never got one right.)
