I too want more WW1 scenarios!

Im also waitng for Guns of August and playing the Gallipoli scenario in KP. The editor for BiN will be perfect for WW1 scenarios too (if someone makes them, I might have to give it a try).

But I want more SPWAW WW1 scenarios.

So can somebody give information for ww1 era oobs, weapons etc? http://www.firstworldwar.com/ had some info on German & Allied weapons but lacked oobs. How many men per squad, how many squads per platoon, platoons per company? What weapons were they using? Were there concentrated machinegun companies or were they distributed among platoons? How many batteries per division and how many battalions per divion? Were 105mm divisional arty and 75 regimental?

If you can answer I can do a scenario or two with roughly correct equipment.

Edit: How were sturmsquads assigned? What of kind oobs were for allied tanked troops? :)

Quite a few questions but maybe it's ok :)

If I have my copy of V8.2, I´ll start on earlier mentioned "Verdun 1916'" scenario. It´ll probably deal with the attack on Fort Vaux in June 1916. Map will include trenchlines, heavily devastated forestst and villages and a "workaround" to portray some sort of WW1 fortifications. It won´t be perfect, but within the limitations of SPWAW it should at least give a good feel.[:)]

I would wonder if there wouldn´t be any. Making of "Trenchlines" in SPWAW is a public topic. Just check the download at my signature! Some more info can be found in V8.0 text notes folder. Check "New icons by Rockinharry". It´s a PDF file. So if anybody does not include trenchlines in his static defense WW1 scenario, he/she either can´t read, or is too lazy![;)][:D]

Looking forward to Jess scenarios![8D]

you´ll have the first shot at this Jess![:D] I´m still waiting for the V8.2 stuff, but I already did some research on various Verdun battles again. What website would you recommend
that has nice info on Somme and Yper battles?

Guess I´ll have something ready somewhere next 2 weeks coming.[8D]
