Ha, I was on a mission in the Jolec-(sp?) sector and after much fighting I looked around for the Archon.. and it wasn't there! I found it in a completely different sector, the one that began with an M.. No way to get there that I could figure out.

Any thoughts on that one?

Sounds like enemy cruisers were getting too close for the safety of your carrier and the Admiral decided to save his own bacon. If I remember right, the station in Jalah is neutral (white) so you might attempt an emergency landing there. I don't remember if it has berthing space for your type of fighter though, so it might not work. May be better to go down fighting rather than freeze to death when you run out of power for life support.

Sorry old chap. Fortunes of war, and all that.

Chucklerific. Will the carrier ever jump back?

Not before your life support runs out, no. It will translate back to the correct sector in time for your next mission - several hours later.

I am worried about that. I mean carriers take sooo long to kill *already*, even on 4x time. Hrm....

The Devestator class heavy cruiser will make short work of them, actually. You need to use stand-off weapons: Athena high-speed anti-ship missiles. Loads of them. Sometimes you can use time-skip to get inside their defensive perimeter. Also remember that with the new jump timing rules, they can't escape as quickly and easily as before.

Of course, neither can you. [:)]
