true update

I've tried several times to update UV using True Update but everytime I tried the title screen said it still ver 2.0 and there were no changes noted in the game. I've heard downloading the individual patches is a better route, but I'm stuck with my 56k dial-up and don't have a life time to wait for the downloads.
Since I've been forced to by a new PC I would like to try one more time to update using True Update, so if anyone can give some help, hints or advise I would appreciate it.
