and all through the land,
grognards were waiting with mice in their hand.
Every sense was a'twitter,
awaiting the word,
from Kid, David, or Mike;
the tension was absurd.
We keyed and we clicked
on sites without pause,
hoping for a surprise from
the cyber Santa Claus.
We haven't a chance to escape
from this fate,
with credit cards in hand
we impatiently wait;
to read on our screens
words which will help us to grin,
"it's ready to go, guys,
let the downloads begin."
