Manual - Ground Unit query

I'm confused. In the manual (ebook) on .pdf pages 148-149 (manual 145-46 on page bottoms) it explains disabled squads, etc. In the example, it shows that there are 52 disabled squads. Should that be 152 or am I missing something?

Where are the 312 ready squads coming from? If I add up all the squads I get 322 and that includes the 152 that I intrepret as being disabled.

I'm really confused and any help would be greatly appreciated.

See attached screen: USA Rifle Squad of which there are 121 left and 21 are currently disabled.

That is the standard format for all ground units. Item (disabled) xactice

Thanks Mr. Frag.

Your example makes sense. I just can't get the same results from the example in the manual.

What is the difference between Engineer Squads and Engineers in the above example?

I'm going to guess the USMC Engineer Squad are Combat Engineers, front line troops. The Engineers are for fixing things like ports or airstrips.
