Was able to change the turn cycle from 3 to 1 in a PBEM game. My impression from the manual is that this shouldn't be doable in a pbem game...

What did I miss?

Now I'm sure it is doable... although it shouldn't be. Correct?

PBEM settings are LOCKED when the game is started. No changes allowed.

'Fraid we are making days per turn changes....

My opponent is making them, I think from the main settings screen (prior to loading the save game) rather than the top of the tactical map.

We started with 3 days per turn, next turn I got back we had switched it to one day per turn. The latest was 2 days per turn.

Dec 7 +3
Dec 10 +1
Dec. 11 +1
Dec 12 +2
Dec 14 +2
Dec 16 current turn.


I just confirmed with him how he is doing it. In the global game settings... Even though the tactical map has 1 day turns and is greyed out (can't change it) changing the global settings will still affect the PBEM game.

Are you exiting after each turn? We have a little bug that causes things to go haywire if you don't exit at the moment.

I'll have to ask unless my opponent is watching this thread. I don't exit between watching the combat replay and planning my turn though... no. But between games, absolutely. I can't sit still that long.

Basic problem is staying *in* the game is resetting the toggles on the Realism page even though they should be locked.

Is it OK to save a PBEM turn before you end it? When making the first turn, I don't usually have the time to sit through all of it, so I've been making some moves when I can and saving the turn, not ending it. When I finish, I click end and save it again. Will this work OK? We've been seeing some strange things in the games I'm in so far.
