Minimum hard disk free space?

Hello again, dearest readers and contributors
I think someone insinuated in some other thread that there should be a "minimum" free space required on your hard disk to run WITP without problems. Well, how many megas -or giga/s?- do we need more or less, please? My Micro$tuff partition is 7 gigas big, and I have like 1,5 gigas free right now.
Thanks in advance

Download will eat almost 500 megs.
Installed will eat another 980 odd megs.
Time to do serious house cleaning if you only have 1.5 as you can see that .5 + .98 = 1.48 [;)]

Thank you for the reply, Mr. Frag. Well, I haven't been clear at all, so I beg your pardon. I should have said "how many free space will I need AFTER the installation", sorry -as I have said, I think someone mentioned that we would need this "extra" free space [:)]
Yes, my bet is on "I will have to hire a Cyber Cleaning Brigade" [:D]

Oh ... already installed ...
Each turn saved is about 2 megs. It adds up pretty quick.

This has nothing to do particularly with WitP, but for years we (game nuts) had considered that with Windows you need to keep 10% of your hard drive free in order to handle all the swap files. If you are sharp, you can manually control the swap files, but I prefer to just keep a lot of disk space free.

Well, as long as WITP needs Windows, your post is worth reading, Bradfordkay. Yes, I was thinking of course about that "10%" free space when I wrote my message. And no, I am not "sharp" at all [:)] I prefer Linux "system": the "swap" partition IS an *essential* partition, which you have to create when you install that OS: x2 the size of the RAM. In other words, I won't get my hands dirty trying to "optimize" *I stop writing here and roll on floor laughing my a** off* Microsoft [:)]
