1. Make shortcut to your desktop directly to the exe file.
2. copy the old save to the save subdirectory in the new game.

are you talking about the intro video?

If so rename the Video folder to VIDEO1 and create a new folder called VIDEO whcih is empty

thanks for all the ideas ; I had already changed my video folder to the name xvideo to stop intro , what I was looking to stop was the install box appearing every time I insert uv cd, I know I can change cd parameters to non-auto play, I was looking for a different solution....as for the save games problems...that was my own stupid fault, I thought the true patch program had updated me was I was still on 2.oo version:(....

One way of getting around the UV CD problem was addressed in the thread - Running UV without cd in drive?

That's what I use (the noCD crack from Gamecopyworld). Been running it for some time with zero problems (version 2.3).

I use cracks for all my games because I hate hunting around for CDs when the mood strikes me to play a different game. But I own all the games I play (except one, but that's a special case).

Matrix being a small company - and a quality company (unlike many I could mention) - deserves our support.

Hi,

For the install issue, try this:
1/ Place cd in open drive bay
2/ Press the RIGHT shift key
3/ While continuing to press the shift key, close the bay
4/ Keep the shift key depressed until cd drive finishes spooling and drive light goes off.
5/ Launch UV manually (I use a desktop shortcut to the .exe file.)

The whole process takes maybe 10 seconds. Works everytime.

Do this at your on risk. If you visit this crack site and download cracks for your game, prepare yourself for a major infestation of malware, browser hijacker and spyware. Not fun at all.
