Hey all-how might one quit MC without saving for those embarassing battles one might not want on their record? Or are ya gonna hold me to em? (which is kinda cool too....)

Using Windows you could alt-tab out and close the program.

Or just hit the reset button, though that's kind of harsh. :)

Not that I would ever have such a Problem...

If you quit without saving a MC, your campaign is pretty much hosed. What you need to do is exit the Campaign everytime you start a new battle. Now save the files in a holding directory somewhere. You can copy the saved files back to the MC saved game directory and play them when you need to take a step back. Also save the MC files when you exit the game. That way you can create a record using Campaign Watcher with fewer hassles than you otherwise might.

I've never had one go hosed on me.
It's not a regular practice on me, but sometimes if I can't finish the battle I'll exit out the way I suggested and replay it later.

I've probably done it 2 or 3 times in each MC and never had one go south.

But I guess everyone's mileage may vary. :)

Never got one back. The file gets renamed when you load it, data gets saved when you close it. Loading the old saved game with the new name, which is what happens when you quit without saving, pretty much ended the MC. Regular saved games are different, no problem with them.

Huh? You can use the same name when you load the game. It doesn't rename itself, but rather asks you what name you want.

And you're right, the data does get saved when you close it. BUT, if you don't actually click that button to exit the game, it won't save the data. It doesn't know any better.

Welcome to the clunky and unacceptable save system of the MCs.
