I was wondering about the viability of taking Okha for the 400 Oil that is there? Early on I mean. OK the Sovs will get activated but maybe it's worth it. Might need to bolster Manchuria a bit first ...

It will not be worth it. Raverdave or Nick tried it and got the beegebers kicked out of them.

I already have plans for this base... I believe it is either empty or lightly defended, so the units on Sakhalin should be able to take it whenever I want... But to take it early is to ask for a whooping.. Especially since I'm pulling loads of units out of Kwangtung.. But later in the war it is a good base to take, especially if you need the oil... 2400 oil a day is a lot..

Well I'm going to try it (albeit against the AI). Without any ships the Sovs are going to hard-pressed to reinforce Sakhalin itself, the only problem is Manchuria.
