Minor/major issues

At last I’m able to log in to the forums. Have been having some trouble for the past week or so. My password wasn’t being accepted and I could get the site to email me a new one until now. [:@] I’ve been wanting to comment on my experience with the game so far. First off, bravo! Truly spectacular and I’m very pleased with it. The game runs remarkably smooth more so than any game I’ve played in recent memory and for a first release it’s remarkably bug free in my experience. [&o] Having said that there are some issues I’ve run across which may have already been addressed in the upcoming patch.
Minor issues:
1) Why is there no heading indicator available in the fighter HUD while in space? One’s available while in atmospheric mode and in the capitol ships. It appears to have been overlooked in the fighters while in space mode. It’s a minor annoyance since I often times “request picture” from base and they issue me a vector. Can’t respond to the vector assignment without the heading indicator though.[&:]
2) In the High land campaign I recall encountering AAA’s and SAM’s in the demo but have not run into a single one in the full release. Also, I encounter no resistance at all including air support when I engage the Foothill base.
3) Capitol ships have huge blind spots that are easy to exploit and often times the AI will fail to engage. For example: I engaged an enemy carrier by dropping in behind and below his aft quarter. The AI just sat there allowing me to discharge my weapon systems onto him for 8 minutes completely defenseless and never once attempted a coarse correction or attempted to maneuver into an alternate position to engage me. [>:]
4) The AUTO actually teleports you rather then compressing time. Therefore, I shy away from using it but I see by others that many have exploited this feature.
Major issues:
1) I believe that someone previously wrote in about this but wasn’t clear there was much of a response. I’ve noticed that when I return to the carrier with a fully intact element of thunderbolts, no matter how well the mission went I always lose one fighter according to the fleet available force listings. I read that to avoid this glitch to always use Esc+1 to exit the game. However, 1) I enjoy landing on the carrier and 2) when I do this I don’t redeem any points for the mission. This disingenuous attrition to my fleet is most unwelcome. [X(]
Thanks for a great game and I should mention that this is the only in game music that I have ever not disabled.
cheers
