Trouble with Pacific War

I am having trouble with my recently purchased WITP game. When I try to access the carrier air groups on American carriers my machine backs out to the basic menu and I lose all unsaved game information. It is extremely frustrating. Can anybody assist. Tks Rick H.

did you apply the interim patches allready?
