Solomons, At Darwin the USAFFE , Asiatic Fleet and Malaya Army Hqtrs have successfully relocated Plus arrived and still Arrived refugee forces from Malaya and some Essentials that Left Phillipines, 77 aviation support with it growing as more support arrives, having Salvaged a couple 100+ aviation support Bases.

Some will Go on to Port Moresby, Forces are being Linked slowly
To the SW Pac Hqtrs.


DEI: Still Held, But Starting to prepare for possiable Evac, a CVL Group of japanese moved into area and harried fleeing Malayan transports, air strikes were unsuccessful in hitting it, and a few turns later after New Years, KB spotted entering area moving south of Phillipines,
North East of Tarakan, If DEI evac, planning to move to Timor and try hold that island, with 100-150 Planes based at Darwin to help provide air coverage over Timor..

Malaya:

Only Mersing and Singapore still Held on New Years 1942, (Singapore fell on 3rd of jan a day after Mersing did on 2nd) Managed get Malayan elements out to both Andaman Island and Darwin

South East:
Rangoon already lost, Some Units evac to Andaman others marching north in holding actions as Northern burma and india prepare for Japanese moves north.

Philipines:
Baatan, Manilia, Clark, Tugoegano, Naga, Lamon Bay, San Jose, Roma, Cebu, Jolo, Tawi Tawi still Held, Davo and Northern Phillipines fallen to Japanese, p40's from Manilia harrassing japanese shipping, Clark was deemed un useable as Japanese constant bombing its airbase so bombers evac to Darwin, Jan 5th Clark Fell and now Basically remaining Forces are in Manilia and in Bataan.

MacArthur fired and recalled to USA for incompentence in not Preparing adequate defenses and ignoring war warnings.


Thats status of my Game entering 1942

Love the Subs, their more fun then in the Original Pacwar
They don't always get hits, and I'm seeing at times "dud" torps plus ASW get on them but when they do hit those AK's and AP's its beautiful
seeing the torp explosions, etc..

Been using Subs effective in and around Phillipines and Malaya, the
computer Japanese may take them but its cost the Japanese some valuable
Ap's and AK's and so hampered its "lifting" capability somewhat.

Next Expected action is Likely to be in DEI and in India,
Unless the Japanese computer is sending the KB down to Darwin, if
does and I've managed to get enough of the refugee units
there and 100-200 Planes Maybe it will be a huge mistake
all I need is some lucky hits on those Flat Tops..

Going try to salvage that p-40 squad out of Phillipines as its
battles have pushed its experience in mid 70's

Update:

Error , it was a base next to Clark that Fell on 5th..

On 1/18/42 Clark fell.

Units retreated to Manila.. Humphhh, seems to me They shoulda gone to Bataan..

Of course Manilia was still held, I think I recall Clark fell in R/L and Manilia had been Evac as open city So R/L went all to Bataan..

The KB and another CV Fleet are operating south of Malaya and around Borneo, Borneo is under attk, Tarakan and balipakan Have fallen.

Kendari I've Evac, Got some out of Borneo

Soreabaja and South DEI still held, the DEI across from Malaya (sumatra?) is under attack.

Darwin is now at appx 500 Aviation support [:D][:D]

Units are arriving to Support PT moresby, Lae has fallen

2 CV's are operating (USA) around noumea and Esprito santo, looking to catch thae Japanese as they move south from just taken Shortland..

Plus a surface and Escort TF

Central Pacific isn't open through as YorkTown and Saratoga are Up at Pearl, Its Enterprise and Lex down in South (gee like History...)

Wake still is held and being Re-Supplied, a split Aviation squad otw to boost its support...

India isn't going too good, japanese have Advanced to mandalay... I've pulled several Divisions of Chinese into Burma to try hold the road open..

Phillipine Counter attack!!!!

The AI needs more brains..

It sent , after taking Clark AFB and pushing Clarks forces into Manila,
its whole phillipine army into Battaan.

While its trying to take Bataan, well I up and moved forces into clark, which was unoccupied and Took it back, on 1/24/42

Now I've on 1/26/42 Moved into Lingayen and San Marcelino and Taken theM back...

Hehehh... AI's reacting... Lingayen Ports got some AP's into it on the 27th... looks like there be unloading of troops brought back...


Pull Backs going on with DEI getting invaded, and Borneo..

I've pulled back into Darwin from Malaya, DEI and some of Phillipines planes, and forces and have 692 Aviation Support in Darwin

Now it is 1/31/42

While all 62,000 japanese are in Bataan , trying to take it I've
moved Forces that went to Manilia from Clark back into Clark and took it, Lingayen, Etc and Just took back Vingen..

Historical setting

AI is ignoring fact its armys now ciut off I presume from overland supply...

Maybe fact the Naga attack force is still hed up is bolluxing it, maybe the script calls for taking Naga and then going up to Manilia while Northern forces scripted to take Clark then head to bataan..

Still no japanese counter attk on forces in Lingayen, Clark etc that retook Japanese held bases..

I might retake Phillipines at this rate ...

Without any fresh forces..But those left there cut off... sheeshhh..
