I don`t seem to be able to grasp the support problem. Whatever I do with my ground units they allways end up with their support in red, while the entire base info regarding the support in O.K.
What am I missing?

1. THX !!!
2. HQ in general or they have to belong to specific force. For instance; would any US HQ do the job for Aussies or it has to be a specific Aussie HQ?

If doesn't matter if the unit support is red, if the support of the base is OK.
As for providing support, any HQ (or part of HQ) is OK. But is is a better idea to have the good HQ at the right places. They also provide bonuses (more than just support) to units under their command. Don't remember, but for example division HQ provide 10% or 20% bonuses to assault values of troops of their divisions in the same hex.

The base support is all that matters, youll be please to know that in WitP they have modified it so that the support will show green if the base support is enough.
In UV the actual HQ doesnt matter so much just for the support value
