I believe most - if not all - PBeM games are done with OpFire confirm off. I play even solo with it off as it speeds up the game, and it feels more 'realistic' that way to me

Thanks for the interest. I had a sudden rush of enlistments and am sorting through the emails. At this point everyone who applied should be in.

Copy that Drex. We got the Field Marshall Kerg with us and all we need is a few more War mongers and we are set. For those of you who don't know about this yet, you are about to miss out on a hell of a good game

Welcome aboard 11B! Although this will be a smaller "training" exercise to work out the tournament's bugs, accidents do happen in the field .
I am especially looking for newer players as well as those who know the game really well so they can share their knowledge. They will help lead and coach the newer players and we'll have some fun in the process.
For those who would like to consider command of a company size unit in an online multiplayer campaign (my new fancy phrase for a tournament) come on in and look around.
Right now I could really use 6 commanders for the Coalition forces. There are 6 units of Polish, Belgian and Norwegian soldiers who desperatly need commanders.

The good fighter requirement is what shunted me off to the Federation.
Actually, it was a tough choice between Polish and Hungarian chow, but I have a craving for goulash.
Besides, with the Finns on our side, how can we lose?

I'm from Poland. I think that I may check out what our army may show

Welcome 11Bravo and Ruxius to the Federation! We are all awaiting battle. I believe we have one slot left in the 4th detachment,1st regiment.

This will definitely look odd, let alone fell that way. To have a Brigade support trooper commanding line troops. But i'd rather have kerg on my flank than to my front.
The feds have me.

If you can understand Spanish I can tell you how to do it.
It’s a little long to tell you in english and I’m tired to do it now ...

OK, I had a nap so I’m ready to do it in English...
Fundamental difference is that you don’t have the chance to choose against which enemy units you’ll use your “opportunity fire” as you do on solitaire or on-line games.
On PBM your. Instead of this your units will fire upon any enemy that comes into its LOS (depending on his stance, experience, suppression and other usual factors).
Good news are that you can set at what range you want that your units will react and use OP option.
To do so go to the unit information screen (right click on the unit). You’ll see a first green line named: “set range”.
This range is the range at witch this unit may engage the enemy during the other player movement phase. For example: when set at 7, enemy units within seven hexes may be fired upon if there are shots available and suppression is not to high.
For example: If you want that your infantry remains ambushed to close assault enemy tanks and vehicles, you will have to set this at “1”. This way your infantry units won’t attack until enemy is at a distance of 1 hex.
You can see that if you’re on a defective or delay mission the game will automatically set range = 1 for infantry units and set range = 6 for most AT guns. On advance, assault and meeting engagements rage is usually set at maximum weapon’s range.
One important note is that if you set rage of one of your units at say “6” and during the battle you shot with it at a longer range, this new range will be assumed as the OP range.
Hope that have helped.

Well looks like the federation is full of great commanders, those other guys had better be ready for one hell of a fight!

I have played games against some of the boys on my side and with all us workin together now, it will be tough to stop us

I've never played multi-player SPWAW, but am familar with SP series including WAW from Matrix. I've ordered version 5.0, would like to try out your tourney.
