Has anyone discoverd the use of the recon imager pod? I figure that it must come into play in Scout/recon missions which are listed in the manual as a possible fighter mission but I have not yet seen one of these missions generated. Has anyone else?

I've not used one yet, though I'm admittedly only a few hours into the campaign. Maybe they're used when scouting out a new system before the fleet moves in? Anyone?
