Help... I loaded the copy protection patch. Now I can't load ANY other games. The only one that will load is KP. The game is fun but I want to move on. I need some way to remove the patch!

You don't understand. No other games. From any other manufacturer. Think of any title you see in the store. It no longer loads. They wont even start. In fact it looks just like KP did before the patch. In other words the copy protection doesn't work.I get messages like "insert the correct disk". Yes the correct disk is in. I need a patch to reverse that patch!

This sounds like an issue with the installer or copy protection. This end of things is handled my Matrix, so I will let them answer, however their first questions are likely to be asking for more information. What exactly happens when you try to load other games? Which other games are you talking about? Did you do install any other windows/driver patches at the same time? Other info that is also likely to be of help is your operating system (which version of windows) and some system info.

Edit : If it was the copy protection patch update then that is our end of things not matrix - we were responsible for the installer on that one. I have never heard of a similar problem, and the copy protection patch was used by hundreds of users - if you give some more info (ie answer the questions above) then i may be able to point you in the right direction, although it sounds like a problem with your system.

I'm using xp home edition. When I attempt to load another game. The window that states that the installer is preparing to install the program comes up. The little bar slowly goes up to about 99%. Then it goes away. That's when the message about the wrong disk comes up. I didn't load any other patches. I never had this problem before. I have a Gateway system about 2 years old.

Can you descibe how you installed the game? Did you install and patch all at the one time? The copy protection patch should only install if you have updated to v1.11, so i am assuming you have installed all the patches?

I would suggest an uninstall of Korsun is in order, then check that you are able to load other games. Then, in order,

1. Install Korsun from the korsun CD. Check you can run Korsun (ie start a game), and then quit out, and load one of your other games to make sure they can start.
2. Install the Korsun v1.10 patch (available from this matrix website, or using the true update function). Check you can run Korsun (ie start a game), and then quit out, and load one of your other games to make sure they can start.
3. Install the Korsun v1.11 patch (available from this matrix website, or using the true update function). Check you can run Korsun (ie start a game), and then quit out, and load one of your other games to make sure they can start.
4. If (and only if) you have errors starting the game with the v1.11 patch installed, THEN install the copy protection patch. As per above, make sure both Korsun and your other games are able to be run.

If you still have problems, let me know at which stage this failed.
