Death Medals ...

It seems the latest version no longer hands out medals when you are killed in combat. [:(]
Hands out all the other medals fine though.

I only ever got one of each in the original, I wasn't aware you were supposed to get anymore than that?
Wrecked my fair share of fighters, bombers and cruisers too!

There seem to be two types ... after the patches, I figured I'd fill up my medals so I started letting myself get killed a lot. No luck. So I created a new pilot and tried ... no luck either.
Maybe I just have the worlds worst random number generator [:D]

I've got 2 medals for buying the farm from version 4.01 .. might be three, but I think one of them was when I went spaz on a mission and killed about 15 ships in addition to my mission objectives.

Seems like there would be a maximum of 1 death medal per person.

You should get the Order of the Red Flame when you die for the first time. I also got the Wounded Lion one, but I think that happened because I killed many guys while my hull was quite low (red).

Minimum Rank: Lieutenant
Maximum Rank: Commodore
Dynamic Campaign: Not required
Chances: 1 in 2
Order of the Wounded Lion (a cookie for anyone who knows the sci-fi literary origin of that name)
Killed in Action: TRUE
Kills During Mission: 5
Required Medals: Order of the Red Flame
Dynamic Campaign: Required
Chances: 1 in 2
We saw someone earn the Red Flame medal during GenCon while playing 4.0.2, so I'm pretty sure it is still working.

OH! so by passing the rank of Commodore, I have basically screwed myself out of ever getting the medals [:D]
Are the other ones coded with min/max conditions too?
Knowing whats required like that makes it a lot simpler to know if it's broken or not [;)]

Other medals that have rank limitations:
Flight Medal (max=Commodore)
Command Medal (max=Commodore)
Gold Star (max=Vice Admiral)
