I'm just sending the update to Jukka 'Grendel' Kauppinen, who is working at Soneraplaza, so the update should be available from www.edome.net very soon. They should have enough bandwith to effectively serve the update.

(Full version will get there later when it's download from Matrix Games completes. At approximately 5k/sec this may take a while)

The download will probably appear on the right hand side of the page that's listing latest files.

Until it appears on the front page, you can directly get it from this URL:

steel_panthers_waw_v5_0_complete.zip is the direct link, but it's also on the opening page of www.edome.net - it's on the right hand side, 'uusimmat tiedostot' (=latest files)

TONS of bandwith, so you should be able to max out your pipe within europe, and get at least 100k/sec to USA (your own bandwith withstanding ofcourse)

Well, I honestly don't know. What I do know is that it's 1:1 what is on the Matrix site.

Has anyone downloaded the complete version off Matrix site and installed it without problems?

Just DL'd and was wondering why it topped out at 174MB instead of the 178+ that the DL page for WAW has. Is this correct???

Yes, its correct (if you are talking about the patch) - the difference is that the one on edome is already unzipped and this time the zip package is completely unnecessary, as the exe itself is already compressed.

In any case, it's the same thing and it works fine.

When installing game (full version) I got following error message, suppose there is something wrong in package.

"c:\matrixgames...\vid998.smk A decompression error has been detected (#7)

File CRC mismatch - Data integrity error

Abort - Retry - Ignore"

Download from Edome was very fast (500 kb/s), and I downloaded it with Getright.

See other forum posts - the file on the matrix games site is apparently corrupted in some way. If you choose to ignore that, you get the full game but you are missing vid998.smk

Someone posted url in another forum thread that this file is available separately off the net somewhere.

Another option is to DL the 4.5->5.0 update and get the working vid998.smk off that.

I just completed and installed the update. Thanks for making it available to us. An thanks for the SPW@W team for another great update. Now to wait for snail mail to give me the CD.
